According to the June 13th, 2011 press release Crocs Inc, has donated emergency relief supplies.
Crocs, Inc., in partnership with Feed The Children, is again helping thousands of victims affected by the recent devastating tornados in Missouri by providing disaster relief items for distribution by Operation Compassion to those in Joplin. This follows a donation last month to the Birmingham Salvation Army for tornado survivors.
In recent months, Crocs along with long-standing partner, Feed The Children, has sent trucks loaded with supplies and more than 5,000 pairs of Crocs™ shoes to help those in impacted by these disastrous storms. Families in both regions are receiving basic necessities including food and other disaster relief items. Additionally, as many survivors were left with nothing more than the clothes on their back, Crocs is providing footwear for survivors.
“At the foundation of Crocs Cares℠ is the simple notion of helping those in need,” stated John McCarvel, President and CEO of Crocs, Inc. “Assisting our employees, friends and family as they get back on their feet is a top priority following these devastating storms.”
Crocs maintains a spirit of giving back. The company’s philanthropic platform, Crocs Cares℠, has donated nearly 3 million pairs of shoes in more than 40 countries to those in need. These donations are made to survivors of natural disasters including the Japanese tsunami, Haiti earthquake and California forest fires, as well as to those who cannot afford basic necessities such as shoes.
