On Monday, June 30, the United States' top basketball |
| players, including Kobe Bryant, LeBron James, Carmelo | |
| Anthony and Dwyane Wade, will assemble in New York City to | |
| take part in an unprecedented fan celebration and | |
| unveiling of the Men's Basketball Team that will compete | |
| for Team USA at the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games. | |
| Led by head coach Mike Krzyzewski, Team USA will gather at | |
| Rockefeller Center's famed ice rink for a team | |
| introduction that will feature all 12 members of the squad | |
| that will represent the United States this summer. The | |
| event will be hosted by TV personality Kevin Frazier. | |
| During the event, Nike will also unveil Team USA's new | |
| Swift System of Dress basketball uniform. The new Nike | |
| designed uniform eliminates 24 centimeters of material and | |
| reduces the weight by 31 percent. The uniform also | |
| features Nike Aerographics, an engineered mesh providing | |
| zoned cooling that reduces up to half the yarn, making it | |
| more lightweight and breathable. An exclusively designed | |
| "We the People" graphic, inspired by USA's rich history, | |
| is also integrated into the uniform. | |
| In addition to Team USA's uniform design, Nike will | |
| showcase the USA Nike Hyperdunk colorway. The Nike | |
| Hyperdunk is 18 percent lighter than the average Nike | |
| basketball shoe and is the lightest and strongest | |
| basketball shoe Nike has ever created. Key products | |
| inspired by the USA Basketball uniform and Hyperdunk | |
| footwear featuring Flywire technology will be available to | |
| consumers beginning July 26th. | |

Spring Summer 2008 Georgia Turri collection no. 02 is stretched between the images of Franco Fontana. Since that timely meeting over New York City roofs between a pragmatic Italian and a sweet Gaúcha comes out Georgia Turri, an aristocratic production of premium class female shoes. Debut takes place on February 2007 throughout the Fashion Incubator project endorsed by Camera Nazionale della Moda Italiana, the doorway of the brand to the highest part of luxury. Deep inspiration and international vision create richness undressed from any useless opulence. Exclusively handmade in Italy, in the excellent district of Parabiago, Georgia’s true style differs from others clearly.
Directors are Georgia Roehe as designer and Alberto Turri as manager, mingled together as lifetime couple in love as well as in job. By living in the quietness of Laglio, on Lake Como shore, both found the perfect ambience where to elaborate years of experience, knowledge and travels to set into a collection of shoes made of careful beauty and a subtle femininity.
By leaving her native Brazil, where family tannery business passed her the love for leather, Georgia moved to Italy in 2000 to focus in specific studies of shoe design achieved at Ars-Sutoria, Istituto Europeo di Design and Marangoni School, together with significant working experiences in leading companies.
Care, quality, passion and culture: these four posts support the aesthetics of Georgia Turri collections by shaping docile objects that fit with the utmost comfort thanks to the use of noble materials and outstanding construction, but that’s not all.
